Holiday villas in Murcia

The small region of Murcia, located in the south-east of Spain on the Mediterranean Coast, is a fantastic area of the country to explore, offering miles of beautiful, sandy beaches, rugged mountainscapes and more than 320 sunny days a year.

More on Murcia

Murcia is one of Spain’s least known regions, located in the eastern part of the Cordilleras Béticas mountains and split into a coastal part and hilly inland area. But from its charming and welcoming mountain villages to its beautiful coastline (offering over 250 kilometres of sandy beaches), the region should not be overlooked as a great Spanish escape!

The region enjoys a fairly consistent Mediterranean climate, offering a great year-round destination. The hottest month here is typically July, where temperatures average 27*C, with 11 hours of sunshine, while August is the best month to explore its waters, where the average sea temperature averages around 25*C.

Murcia’s capital city of the same name is easily explored on foot, offering a brilliant array of attractions from museums to markets. The stunning Murcia Cathedral is a popular landmark in the culture-rich city, dating back to the 14th century.

Like the entire region, Murcia city is a brilliant quiet alternative to a bustling Spanish getaway, with similar offerings of great beaches and weather, away from the tourist crowds.
