Mountain Zebra National Park, located in the Eastern Cape near the town of Cradock, was proclaimed in the early 20th century for the purpose of providing a natural reserve for the endangered Cape mountain zebra.
While the park is predominantly associated with being home to zebras, a diversity of animal species can actually be found here, including buffalos, cheetahs, vultures and foxes. The reserve offers a fantastic African Karoo wildlife experience, spanning across nearly 29,000 hectares.
