The warmest place to be in Europe during the winter months is most definitely on one of the Canary Islands. As the third largest island in the Canary Islands, Gran Canaria is home to hundreds of beautiful beaches to relax on with an average temperature of 18*C in January and around six hours of sunshine per day.
Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, is an ideal destination to escape to this Friday 13th. The south of the island enjoys dry weather with higher temperatures and more sunshine than the north – with an average temperature of 17*C in January and around six hours of sunshine per day.
