These two, newly renovated, four bedroom farmhouses sit adjacent to each other in the traditional village of Sannat. The local restaurant and shop are less than one kilometre away and the nearest beach at Xlendi is only two and half kilometres away. Interior These spacious, two storey properties have natural lime stone, whitewashed stone walls and wooden beams giving a traditional feel. The living room has patio doors leading out to the terrace and swimming pool and is open plan to the well-equipped kitchen and dining area. Villas Sharas have 4 bedrooms; two on the ground floor and two on the first floor. There are two bedrooms with double beds and two bedrooms with twin beds. Three bedrooms have en suite shower rooms and the fourth bedroom has use of a separate family bathroom. The bedrooms on the first floor have patio doors to a terrace overlooking the pool. A second terrace has panoramic views across the countryside to Victoria and the Citadell. Exterior The patio doors from the living and dining room lead to a very spacious, walled, south facing sun terrace with outdoor dining furniture, sun beds and barbecue. This surrounds the 9 x 5 metre swimming pool accessed by roman steps and is an idyllic space to enjoy a tranquil and relaxing holiday. There are stairs at the entrance of the house and for this reason we feel the property is not suitable for those with mobility problems. Amenities The farmhouse are located within a 10 minute walk of the central square, local restaurants and the nearest mini market in Sannat. A short drive takes you to the popular resort of Xlendi Bay with a good selection of shops and restaurants and also the nearest cove for bathing. With magnificent views across both the sea and countryside, the small village of Sannat is only 4 kilometres from the capital, Victoria with its Citadel and cathedral. The village is a place of complete calm and is a perfect sanctuary except for mid July when the annual festival arrives with bunting and fireworks. Sannat is a great base from which to explore the islands sights and scenery. Services For guests staying longer than seven nights there is a weekly maid service with a mid week towel change and bathroom clean. Car Requirements Although a car is not necessary for getting around Sannat, it is essential to hire a car on this fascinating island. The roads are good and every kilometre brings a new and interesting surprise. We can supply a good selection of rental cars or jeeps. It is a traditional Gozitan Summer Farmhouse and as such all the rooms lead from the courtyard, giving it an authentic Mediterranean atmosphere. Interior The lovely, original limestone walls of this semi-detached farmhouse are very deep and ensure that the villa remains comfortably cool in the hot summer months. The authentic architecture provides the location for a memorable holiday on this special island. The living area is on the lower level with its separate entrance. The comfortable living has an archway to the kitchen and dining room, all of which have wonderful vaulted arches and are decorated with local artefacts. The house has three bedrooms. On the lower level there is a bedroom with twin beds which has access to a shower room, across a small courtyard. On the first floor there are two bedrooms accessed from a courtyard, one has a double bed, the other twin beds and they share a shower room. Exterior The house is entered by a gate leading into an architecturally grand and gorgeous courtyard. It has terraces on several levels, accessed by wide stone stairs, from where there are panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and villages.
