Lovely 4 bedroom villa in Lucca that sleeps 8. A perfect haven, Worlds apart and perfect for weddings!

Once the residence of a noble family, the Villa nestles in sixty acres of fields, forest and hills with spectacular views.

This stunning villa has been restored with unique qualities that defy easy description: Passing the pool (12 x 6 m), fountain and eighteenth century grotto with a baroque style garden leading into the Villa with a grand Baronian Hall. 28 columns and arches form a gallery surrounding the ground and first floor, with mellow light filtering through a frosted glass ceiling embraced in wrought iron giving a feeling of sheer opulence and magical spell of extraordinary tranquillity.

The villas size is about 330 sq mt.
Downstairs to the left there is a study-television room with home video, Sat.TV, ASDL and double French doors to the terrace outside. Crossing the hall passing a Steinway grand piano, then into a luxurious dining room leading to a kitchen with double French doors to the terrace and garden.

Once outside, a Gazebo encloses a table for dinner under the stars. Back across the hall passing a small cloakroom, via an open staircase on to the gallery.

To the left a laundry room, and walking across the gallery into a double bedroom with the most superb large bathroom.
Continue on passing double French doors to a balcony with wonderful views over the pool, grotto and garden to a smaller double bedroom and shower room.

Across this you will find a double bedroom with a grand Roman style marble shower room.
Back in the orangery two arches lead to a big bedroom suite and hallway with large picture windows and splendid views over the garden, fountain, pool and mountains where you will find the most exclusive roman Jacuzzi bathroom in marble.

The Villa can also be rented together with one of the farmhouses sleeping up to twenty people. Ideal for weddings, banqueting, or other grand occasions. Catering on request.

3 bedrooms have a double bed (one is smaller than the other ones), 1 has two twins; each bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.
Of the 4 bathrooms there are 2 with big cubicle showers, 1 with large Jacuzzi plus shower, 1 with bath-tub and shower.

Most of the shops and restaurants are no more than about 5-10 minutes drive, in Castelnuovo, some are within walking distance. Castelnuovo di Garfagnana has a train station, and the owner can easily book a taxi to the villa from there.

Just a 5 minute walk from the villa you find Torrite small village (baker, small shop, coffebar, fitness center, wine dealer).

HistoryIn its prime, the Estate was totally self-sufficient, with farmhouses used for making cheese, honey, a trout farm, animal storage and vineyards. It is said that the Villa was built on solid, granite rock where there was once a house dating back to Roman times. All set amidst the "Apuane Alpe" nature park famous for their funghi porcini and wild game in the autumn months.
