Villa Lenka is a charming, three storey, seven bedroom 17th Century aristocratic villa set in a tranquil, green valley in the southern hills of Lucca. Built in 1624, Villa Lenka was the country residence of count Cosimo Bernardini. Today, the villa offers the very best in Tuscan living with its eight luxuriant bedrooms which can accommodate a total of fourteen guests. Beautifully restored frescoes create an air of elegance through the reception rooms; indeed, this property is representative of the very best of Lucca. Villa Lenka is surrounded by immaculate Italian gardens through which flows a fresh water brook into two small lakes overlooked by shady weeping willow trees. Grand Cypress trees and fragrant lemon pots make the for the perfect backdrop to the large floodlit private swimming pool. There are various outdoor dining facilities and a barbeque for days and evenings where guests will no doubt feel inclined to dine al fresco. The interior design and decor of Villa Lenka is one of sumptuous luxury; the finest care has been taken to ensure that grace, elegance, and supreme comfort are the order of the day. There are three large living rooms located on each of the three levels. There is a library, a card room, and a billiards room for teh enjoyment of guests. Villa Lenka has one large and formal dining room and one breakfast room. The main kitchen of the house is designed in true Tuscan style. There are a total of four kitchens; one kitchen is located on each floor of the house. In addition, there is a wood burning oven located in the cellar. Some of the wonderful amenities that guests residing at Villa Lenka will enjoy include individually controlled air-conditioning and heating systems in each room, wireless internet connection, a hi-fi stereo system, an in-house cinema system, colour satellite television, and a DVD player, all of which are located in the living rooms. Each of the eight guest bedrooms is spacious and luxurious; fine furnishings, linens, and tasteful decor adorn each room. Each bedroom features a private en-suite bathroom with a shower. The master suite is fitted with a King size bed; three bedrooms are each fitted with a Queen size bed, and the remaining three bedrooms are each fitted with twin beds. Included in the rates for Villa Lenka is your personal staff which is comprised of the services of a chef, two housekeepers for daily maid service, a gardener, a pool attendant, and an English speaking concierge. The chef will prepare either lunch or dinner, six days per week with the exception of Wednesdays. Continental style breakfast is also included in the rates, as is the cost for heating, air-conditioning, electricity, water, gas, and linen changes (Wednesdays and Saturdays).
