This is a beautifully restored large farmhouse dating back to the early 1700s. The house is our full time home and as such has a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The property is situated in what we consider to be one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany - the Pisan Hills. We know and have lived in most areas of Tuscany and in addition to the stunning countryside we have found the people the most warm and welcoming and the cuisine of the highest standard. An added advantage is that the area has a micro climate with no extremes and in summer a sea breeze that comes up every morning to temper the midday heat The secluded house set in the heart of its 12 acres of landscaped gardens, orchards, olives and woodland, yet only 300 meters from the road, sits on the side of a hill with sweeping views down the valley and the hilltop villages beyond. Bedrooms - Bathrooms All 4 bedrooms have ceilings with exposed beams and terracotta tiles. There are 3 with double beds and 1 with twin. All bedrooms are equipped with fans and mosquito netted windows. The 3 bathrooms on the first floor all have walk-in marble walled showers, two with baths (one jacuzzi), and marble tiled throughout. 2 are en suite and one is shared by 2 bedrooms. Kitchen - Living Room The custom made kitchen is fully equipped to the highest standards, with marble sink and work tops, dishwasher, frig/freezer, large oven, pianocottura with 4 gas rings and one electric plate. Beyond the kichen there is the back entrance into the Utility Room with another frig/freezer, washing machine and storage. There are three Living Rooms. The main one being the Family/Day Room off the kitchen where all the family can be together with Dining and Sitting around an open fire. The main Sitting Room furnished with comfortable sofas and arm chairs and a niche for the Grand Piano, open Fireplace, TV, Video, DVD, and HiFi The third room is the Sun Room where one can escape with a book or to take a siesta away from it all. Distances: The villa is only 4 minutes to the two nearest villages, Lari and Casciana Alta, 10 minutes to the motorway network of Europe, half an hour to the sea and the International Airport at Pisa, and within the hour or so most cities and tourist attractions.
