Lovely 4 bedroom villa in Macher that sleeps 9. Completely re-furbished in 2007, this enchanting property is set in the peaceful countryside and has commanding, breathtaking, panoramic sea views. It is within a few minutes drive to the main resort of Puerto del Carmen and the beautiful marina at Puerto Calero.
Interior
This L-shaped Villa is built around the swimming pool and terrace area, with each room gaining access to the courtyard via French windows. It is a charming and lovingly restored, old Canarian farmhouse. The spacious living room has a dining area and has been furnished and decorated with great attention to detail.
There is a formal dining table for eight people and two sets of French windows open onto the terrace. The independent kitchen is very well equipped and has beautiful sea views. Doors lead from the dining room to the two bedrooms within the main house.
A few steps lead down to the large master bedroom which has two double beds and an en-suite shower room. The other bedroom has a double bed and use of a separate shower room. The other two bedrooms are in an annex which is accessed via the courtyard. The third bedroom has twin beds and fitted wardrobes and the fourth bedroom has a double bed and a fold-a-way bed. Three of the bedrooms have beautiful rural views and the fourth bedroom enjoys sea views.
The two bedrooms accessed via the courtyard share a full bathroom which has a full size bath with separate shower. There are also tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge in the annex.
Due to the layout of the Villa it is ideal for either couples wanting a holiday in a very secluded property or for one or two familes wishing to holiday together with the use of the annex.
Exterior
The Villa is set in a large walled courtyard which acts as a fantastic suntrap. The beautiful, colourful gardens are full of established sub-tropical plants and surround the 8m x 4m solar heated swimming pool, which is accessed via Roman steps. Around the pool is a large sunbathing terrace with ample sun-loungers.
Raised a few steps above the pool is a terrace shaded by a wooden pergola which is accessed from the living and dining room. This has comfortable patio furniture and is perfect for al-fresco dining and enjoying the amazing, panoramic sea views. Outside the lower bedrooms there is also an additional patio table and chairs.

The Villa is located in a cluster of farmhouses in Macher. It is a typical Canarian village which is spread over a considerable area and is the perfect setting for guests wanting to be away from the hustle and bustle, but only a five minute drive from Puerto del Carmen. There are several restaurants and small, local bars dotted around the village and also a large local supermarket that is within walking distance.
A car is essential in Macher as many of the roads don“t have pathways to walk on. Macher is an excellent location from which to explore the island. Within a ten minute drive is the beautiful marina of Puerto Calero. This is an excellent place to watch the luxury yachts and boats come and go whilst enjoying a drink or food in one of the many bars or restaurants.
The old harbour of Puerto del Carmen is also a 10 minute drive away and has an excellent selection of places to eat. Both the old harbour and Puerto Calero are starting points for many excursions including a glass bottom boat, submarine, catamaran, sea fishing and a ferry to Fuerteventura.
Only 15 minute drive from the Villa is Playa Quemada, a traditional Canarian fishing village which has remained untouched by tourism. Literally translated, Playa Quemada means Burnt Beach and gets its name from the village“s black volcanic beach. The wine growing region is virtually on your doorstep and there are many bodegas where guests can sample the local produce. The closest beach is a 10 minute drive away along with the closest large supermarket and the airport is 15 minutes by car.
